Solutions Engineering is 'The Never-Ending Story', as the industry grows and adapts, I too must adapt with it. Community boasts an impressive roster of fortune 500 clients, of which, require complex integrations with our system. Being a young company, I was tasked with building the infrastructure and processes surrounding the Enterprise sales cycle with regard to solutions and integrations. This involved working with the product team and creating features that were missing to allow our system to integrate with external services. The tasks encompassed all facets of pre & post-sales integrations cycles including, but not limited to, Technical Discovery Calls, RFI and RFP evaluations, Writing Feature briefs for product improvements, Building sustainable integrations with external systems, Troubleshooting with clients’ development teams, and spiking new features and services for future system integrations.

Until October 2020 Boonmaps was strictly a mobile application for users to explore 3D maps offline for outdoor regions. CEO and founder Frazer Hogg contracted me to create a backend for administrators of the app to upload map data onto the DynamoDB on AWS. Once completed, the next phase will involve building a front end with React for the administrators to login and edit the map information.

Working on the implementation and development of our V2 API. Building on the V1 offering, V2 allows us to offer more integration opportunity with clients applications. I have connected many of our background operations to the public facing rest API. Allowing more development opportunities for our users, leading to a better experience. These functions were imperative to creating a working partnership with Workato (www.workato.com) - the workflow automation tool, which we are now offering our users. In conjunction with the above, I wrote the API documentation for our upcoming release of our V2 offering. In 2021, SimpleTexting officially launched a Sales Engineering team to which I was a founding member. I currently oversee its growth and successful partnership with our Sales Team. We are leveraging the Sales Engineering team to secure more partnerships with other SaaS companies and drive sales.

I developed an online print store for Oil & Gas clients in Calgary. The store enabled users to log in and select items to purchase. Orders were fulfilled via an automated system that forwarded orders to a trade printer. While active, the store sold over $500,000 in print & marketing material and serviced locations across the US & Canada.

Printlogix had a low number of employees compared to its user base of 20,000+. The result being, many hats were worn. Therefore, along with development, database administration, and sales I oversaw front-end design and implementing integration with third-party API's such as Zendesk and Olark. In conjunction with this above task, I work with our CEO on sales to new clients. During this time we onboarded all of the top 5 Real Estate franchises in Calgary.

Worked as a Software Consultant on the Endeavor program where I got to work directly with 12 tech startups providing technical consultation and web design. The program also had a junior level for secondary school students where I organized taught coding workshops and events for the students to help highlight the benefits of a career in coding.
